This is like a carnival festival for hockey in Edmonton, because it takes place with 518 teams in total, which comprises of Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam and Midget levels. The players will always look forward for the Quikcard hockey week which generally takes place in the month of January. The prizes comprises of 1400 gold medals which will be given at the end of the tournament. The tournament will be having a739 total games. This whole festival will happen in 10 days time. This is the beauty of hockey in Edmonton. The tournament is always exciting last year over 100 games went overtime, 184 shutouts were there and most exciting fact of all is over 3951 goals were been scored. The training for this hockey week will be the most rigorous one because of the weather the players would have been numb and an extra push is needed to warm up the cold bitten nerves.
